The maternity kit from your health insurer is put together for the birth itself: alcohol, gloves, a mattress protector, cord clamp and liners. For the weeks afterwards there is very little in it. Depending on your insurer you get between one and fifteen maternity pads, and a peri bottle or gel compresses are not included at all.

This set fills exactly that gap. Not a replacement for your maternity kit, but the addition you need in the first weeks.

• Gel compress hot & cold — relieves discomfort after a vaginal birth, a caesarean or with haemorrhoids. Used cold it reduces swelling and pain; used warm it relaxes. Washable cover included. Reusable.
• Gel breast compresses hot & cold (2 pieces) — applied warm they stimulate milk flow and help with blocked ducts; applied cold they relieve engorgement and pain. Anatomically shaped and reusable.
• COMFORT maternity pads (10 pieces) — soft, absorbent pads for the first days. Breathable and gentle on the skin.
