Collection: Bumper pads

A cot bumper runs along the bars of the cot and catches what a baby would otherwise meet there: hard slats, draughts, and little arms or legs slipping between them. Soosie makes cot bumpers in the same fabrics as the baby nests, so you can match bed and nest.

Which cot bumper suits you?

CLASSIC is the plainest: plain, breathable cotton without ruffle or print, in beige, grey and brown. Suits any nursery, even if you change the colours later. FRILL has the same cotton base with a delicate 2 cm ruffle along the top edge, for a softer, romantic look. TEDDY is double-sided: teddy bouclé on one side for the colder months, cotton on the other for summer. Just turn it over. The three-piece set from the Teddy Bounce line is something different: it consists of three separate parts that you distribute across the sides yourself, handy if the cot stands against the wall or if you only want to cover two sides.

Sizes

The long versions are 180 cm long and 30 cm high; with FRILL the ruffle is added and the height is 32 cm. It is one continuous piece that folds into three 60 cm panels, so it follows the corners by itself: lay it in a U around three sides of a standard 60 x 120 cm cot. If you want to cover the whole cot, combine two bumpers. Every bumper has tie ribbons you knot on the outside of the bars. The filling is soft and cushions bumps without feeling stiff.

Safe use

Fasten the bumper tightly with the tie ribbons on the outside of the bars, keep the ends short and leave no loops hanging within your baby's reach. Check regularly that everything is still secure. Remove the bumper from the cot as soon as your child can pull themselves up to stand, as it can then serve as a step. How to measure and which version suits your cot or crib, you can read in Which bumper fits your cot?

Matching and gifting

Choose a cot bumper from the same collection as the baby nest and you have a matching bed in one go. The three-piece teddy set with nest and cushion is therefore a popular new baby gift. All cot bumpers are made in Europe.
